Surgery is only considered after conservative management such as
stretching, orthotics, exercise and shoe modification has been exhausted
or deemed inappropriate. Remember surgery includes an element of risk
of sub-optimal outcomes and complications. Even the best surgeon can
have complications. It is always advised to consider a second opinion
